The Arts Department of Theatre at the University of Pittsburgh for applications for a non-tenure-track position renewable (annually for up to three years) to the rank of Professor, beginning September 2010.
The candidate will have extensive professional experience in theatre and bring skills that complement those of the current faculty. Responsibilities include attending the University of Pittsburgh Repertory Theatre productions and Ministry tour outreach program, Shakespeare-in-the-schools as a performer and producer, and screenwriter.
Other responsibilities include teaching at undergraduate or lead courses; put in place and workshops of artists and residences in schools in the region. serve as a coach or advisor for productions of professors and students; providing all students in the Department of mentoring. Artists in residence is supposed to have attended the meetings of the Faculty of education, serve on committees and participate fully in the Theatre Arts Department administrative tasks.
