Executive Director, DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative

The DC Arts and education in science (DCAHEC) collaboration is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Executive Director. An organization of 80 members, DCAHEC is a collective voice to promote equitable access to the teaching of the arts and Humanities of quality for all students in DC public and chartered public schools. The Executive Director is responsible for the prosecution consistent mission and objectives of the Organization, manage a full-time staff of two and reporting directly to the Chairman of the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate is a professional arts education that has demonstrated leadership, expertise with external relations and fundraising and nonprofit management skills advanced.

Responsibilities:
‧ Leadership staff in development, implementation and the achievement of short and long term plans, policies, programs and other activities serving the Member organizations in the pursuit of copies of the arts and humanities programs that enrich the life of the student;
‧ Financial management of the Organization, including the development and implementation of the budget;
‧ Inform and guide the Board of Directors, committees and members in the creation of policies, programs and strategic direction of the organization.
‧ Administration of all of the activities of the Organization, including: evaluation of the results of the program activities, ensuring ongoing contractual obligations are met; resource allocation for a greater program effectiveness and efficiency; development of organizational and administrative policies and objectives of the programme for consideration by the Commission.

Requirements:
‧ Bachelor's degree in teaching the arts or related field, masters degree preferred;
‧ Five years or more experience, including staff supervision and delivery of high quality education
‧ Experience working with public school systems a plus.
‧ Organizational management and time exceptional skills;
‧ Superb writing, communication and analytical; skills
‧ Expertise in MS Office, QuickBooks Pro experience a plus. and
‧ Ability to work flexibly in a changing public education and nonprofit environment.
